Extra Stuff
Writing Assignment Information
- 500-800 words
- Pick three or four “functions” of language from Ch 1-7 (functions
could be e.g., generating reports, providing affective connotations,
purr/snarl, directive language, etc.,)
- Explain how these functions manifest in a particular discipline of
your interest (sociology, history, econ, etc.,)
- Include 1-2 outside sources
- First rough draft due for revision Sept 25
- Talk to writing mentor (mandatory). Link to calendly here
